Bank statement analyzer: find balance differences without guessing

Use opening and closing balances and printed running balances to locate possible statement conversion differences.

Enter both statement balances

If the PDF does not identify opening and closing balances, type them into the preview exactly as printed. A trial that includes only two pages cannot prove the balance of a longer statement; convert the remaining pages first.

Read a difference correctly

If opening balance is 1,000.00 and activity totals -25.00, expected closing balance is 975.00. A printed closing balance of 970.00 gives a -5.00 difference. Look for a missing fee, incorrect decimal or wrong transaction sign.

Inspect flagged rows

A flagged transition compares the previous printed running balance plus this transaction against this row’s printed balance. It identifies where arithmetic diverges, not which original entry is wrong. Without printed running balances, a closing difference cannot identify an exact row.

Keep the scope practical

This is an extraction and arithmetic aid for small businesses and bookkeepers. It does not classify tax deductions, detect fraud, provide financial advice or certify an audit. Compare every page to the source before relying on it.
